What port forwarding involves

Port forwarding is a key element of efficient sea transport, covering all activities carried out at the port — from cargo reception, through transhipment and storage, to documentation preparation and onward transport.

It requires excellent coordination, knowledge of port procedures and close cooperation with port services, terminals and customs authorities. Delays or errors at the port handling stage can generate significant additional costs and disrupt the entire supply chain.
